Product description
Absolut Elyx is the new definition of luxury vodka, built on the principles of quality, integrity, and true craftsmanship. Every drop of Absolut Elyx is made with soft winter wheat from a Single estate, Rabelöf, in southern Sweden where the climate is ideal for the strain. The estate has been cultivating wheat there since the 1400s. The wheat is then manually distilled using a vintage copper column still from 1921 by Master Distiller Krister Asplund and his team. The still, operated by a select few who have inherited their knowledge and expertise from past generations of Swedish vodka makers, is made entirely from copper. The copper surfaces – inside the columns themselves, the pumps and even the hand-forged pipes – have a catalytic effect on some of the trace compounds in the spirit. Which, again, enables the crafting of a naturally smooth vodka with real character. The result is an award-winning vodka with a rich and exceptionally smooth mouthfeel that is crafted from seed to bottle in a 15-mile radius using water from a nearby aquifer. The luxurious design of the bottle invokes that vintage copper column still and gives this premium expression a distinctively high-class feel.
